Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading international law firms, seeks to hire a 1L summer associate to join our Intellectual Property Disputes Practice Group in Chicago.
Our 1L summer associate will be eligible for a $15,000 bonus. To receive the $15,000 bonus, the summer associate must (1) participate in the 2019 and 2020 Summer Associate Programs and (2) receive and accept a 2021 entry-level position. Payment will then be issued after completing two months at the firm.
Practice Description: With nearly 200 lawyers and other professionals, Morgan Lewis has one of the largest Intellectual Property practices of any full-service law firm in the world. We provide a range of Intellectual Property services, including litigation at the district court, International Trade Commission, and appellate levels; patent preparation and prosecution; trademark and copyright counseling and portfolio management; post-grant and other administrative proceedings before the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO); licensing, technology transfer and other transactions; and addressing Intellectual Properties issues in corporate transactions.

Job Requirements: The position is open to any first-year law student with an electrical or mechanical engineering, computer science or molecular biology background. Advanced technical degrees preferred. Eligible applicants will (1) be enrolled full-time in an ABA-accredited law school with an anticipated graduation date of 2021 at the time of application, (2) have demonstrated academic excellence, (3) have outstanding leadership skills, and (4) have an interest in employment with Morgan Lewis.
