As a part of GoDaddy’s Legal Department, you’ll work closely with and provide legal advice to all departments within the organization regarding a wide range of commercial and transactional matters, combining your education and legal skills with business acumen and understanding of the company’s goals and objectives. The primary focus will be to draft, review, analyze and negotiate a wide variety of agreements of varying complexity and otherwise assist in providing solutions to various commercial and transactional problems presented. You may also work closely with different groups on legal issues related to the development and launch of new GoDaddy products and services, including drafting relevant terms of service, with the goal being to serve as a trusted partner and advisor as a respected independent contributor of the GoDaddy legal team. This position resides within the Privacy, Products, IP, & Commercial Transactions group of the Legal Department, so additional opportunities to engage on privacy and IP matters is likely.
Negotiate, draft, and review third party contracts to be entered into by GoDaddy and related entities, complying with company policies and risk tolerance.
Understand, identify, raise and address legal and business issues related to new and existing products and contracts.
Work with internal business partners as they develop and launch new products, including drafting and updating Terms of Service to ensure that they adequately describe the products.
Advise business clients on legal issues and risks, complex agreement structures, approval processes, and company policies and procedures.
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, legal processes and our online terms and conditions, including those represented on our consumer-facing front of store pages.
Stay abreast of issues and changes in the law and anticipate potential impact of these changes on the company and its policies.
