Vatica Health, a private equity-backed and rapidly growing healthcare technology company, is seeking a corporate counsel. This is a unique, ground-floor opportunity to join a Company during a stage of rapid growth and to meaningfully participate in the company’s success.
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad spectrum of contracts and related documents, including, but not limited to vendor agreements, licensing agreements, technology agreements, consulting agreements, partnerships and strategic alliances, employment matters, business associate and non-disclosure agreements.
Analyze operational issues and provide advice and direction concerning regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters.
Develop, review and/or revise policies and procedures relating to compliance, regulatory, and privacy.
Refine and oversee contract management process.
Assist with due diligence related activities in connection with M&A, partnerships and other transactions.
Draft and present training programs on relevant legal, regulatory, and/or compliance related healthcare topics.
Monitor all changes to applicable rules, regulations, laws, and legislation that may impact business and ensure compliance.
Assist with or lead other projects as assigned.
Requirements Skills & Experience Requirements
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school, excellent credentials and membership in good standing of the bar in at least one state
At least 5 years of experience as a healthcare and transactional attorney with significant experience negotiating business and regulatory contracts such as service agreements, license agreements, and Business Associate Agreements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, very responsive, and willing to work hard in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment
Prior entrepreneurial or business experience preferred
Experience working with Medicare Advantage Plans and/or other risk bearing entities, MA risk adjustment, and/or quality initiatives (HEDIS) or value-based care initiatives strongly preferred
