Denver Water’s Office of General Counsel provides nearly all of Denver Water’s legal services. The Office of General Counsel consists of 11 attorneys who are engaged in the areas of natural resources, public lands, water, contracts, real estate, business, employment, municipal law, and civil litigation.
Denver Water is recruiting for a Fall 2019 Legal Intern. Legal Interns must excel at research and writing, and they may be called upon to answer questions involving any of the above areas of law. Responses to attorneys may take the form of a memorandum, correspondence, a portion of a brief, response to discovery, or other documents. Law clerks also may attend meetings with clients, depositions, hearings, trials and meetings of the Board of Water Commissioners.
