Job Duties Will be an essential member of the firm’s Turkey Practice Group focused on representing the legal interests of Turkish businesses and individuals in the United States; Play a key role in supporting lawyers in the firm’s Turkey Practice Group, including interacting with Turkish clients; Play an essential role in generating business for the Turkey Practice Group; Assist in identifying and developing business opportunities for the practice group, with extensive business network in Turkey and the United States; Assist in designing and drafting marketing materials for the Turkey Practice Group, including articles, newsletters, and other materials as needed (in both Turkish and English); Keep abreast of legal developments impacting Turkish clients conducting business in the United States and Turkey; Assist in developing educational content of Turkish Law and materials (in both Turkish and English); Assist in drafting scholarly articles on topics of interest for the Turkey Practice Group (in Turkish and English); Travel to Turkey often with the practice group leader (and/or other attorneys from the group) to conduct in-person meetings with Turkish clients and prospective clients. Travel up to 25% of time required; Communicate in writing and orally in Turkish and English with Turkish clients to address their needs with regard to legal representation; Assist in electronic discovery and information management; Perform legal and factual research and prepare memoranda and summaries and findings regarding the same (in both Turkish and English); Review and summarize contracts (in both Turkish and English).
Minimum Education & Experience The position requires Doctoral Degree in Law (the degree may be awarded during the employment). Must be fluent in Turkish (reading, writing, speaking). Law Degree from accredited Turkish law school with 3.50 or higher GPA.
