Job Summary: Join SwRI's Legal team as an Intern and conduct legal research, analyze legal issues as directed by attorneys, prepare written legal memorandum, and research applicable local, state and federal regulations pertaining to the corporation and day-to-day activities. Draft and review various legal documents as assigned. Perform other duties as may be required.
Education/Experience: Student must be pursuing a Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school, entering their second or third year of law school (as of Fall 2019). Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Position is for the period of May 2019 to May 2020. Must have excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and decision-making skills. Must have strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to succeed both independently and as a member of a multi-functional team. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Westlaw. A valid/clear driver's license is required.
