Description:
Provide general corporate legal services to support all major stakeholders under the direction of the Associate General Counsel. Responsible for providing accurate legal guidance to reduce and manage risk throughout the organization. Relied upon to counsel business leaders in practical solutions that are aligned with corporate business strategy.

Duties:
  • Interface with General Counsel, Associate General Counsel, and outside legal counsel, project managers, sales personnel, finance personnel, and other Econolite team members to enhance the effectiveness of the Legal Department;
  • Prepare, review and analyze a wide-range of business contracts involving substantive areas of law, including public contracts, intellectual property, commercial transactions, and real estate and employment related documents;
  • Review bid and proposal solicitation documents for public works projects to identify material terms and risk factors;
  • Perform legal research and analysis, interpreting and applying contract and torts principles, applicable laws, regulations, and policies and procedures;
  • Supervise maintenance of calendars and schedules of milestones, renewal due dates, and deadlines to ensure contract compliance;
  • Review and update Company policies and procedures;
  • Draft and maintain corporate governance documents;
  • Organize and maintain Legal Department documents in a digital central filing system; and
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctorate, and admission to Bar in at least one State
  • 8+ years of experience working as a lawyer in a law firm and/or as an in-house counsel
  • Aptitude to interpret complex legal issues
  • Knowledge of principles and practices used in the development of contracts and contract administration
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to make timely and sound decisions in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent judgment to appropriately escalate relevant matters
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and strong commitment to team work
  • Inspires trust of others and desires to work ethically and with integrity to uphold organizational values
