Position Overview: The Junior Associate Attorney will provide support to General Counsel and the legal department, drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements, consulting agreements, leases, licensing agreements and providing general legal support to multiple business lines.
Prepare and/or review and negotiate contracts and agreements for several business functions.
Provide advice and guidance to clients with respect to contract drafting/negotiation and other legal issues
Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements.
Execute assigned projects as determined by needs of the Legal Department.
2-4+ years of sophisticated general corporate legal experience with a nationally recognized law firm or in-house corporate experience.
JD degree from top law school, and active member of the Georgia bar.
Able to identify and research legal risks and issues, and effectively counsel clients regarding same.
Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment and interface directly with upper-level management.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, demanding environment.
Ability to work independently on a number of projects simultaneously.
Ability to handle extremely sensitive and confidential information.
Strong communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, MS Office, etc.).
Experience with mortgage-related regulatory matters.
Experience with human resources, labor, and employment law.
