Legal Intern (3 months)

OpenGov’s Legal Intern role is a paid, 12-week program beginning in June and ending in August. The program offers a great experience to current law school students looking to get a head start on their legal career. Working with the General Counsel, you will learn what it’s like to work in an in-house legal department at a growing, fun technology company and get exposure to a range of legal and financial areas from contracts, employment, corporate governance, IP and commercial matters.

This internship pays $18/hr and located in Redwood City

  • Drafting and reviewing, NDAs, marketing, sales and purchasing contracts and templates.
  • Entry of sales contract into SFDC.
  • Legal research.
  • Copyright and trademark registrations.

  • An undergraduate degree and current enrollment (first or second year) in a top-tier law school.
  • Coursework or experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
  • Familiarity with various contract types, terms, and business practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Gmail, and SFDC.
