We are searching for a Summer Intern for General legal and compliance opportunities in support of an international software company's in-house legal department, including contract review and drafting, legal research and writing, compliance policy review and enforcement, and litigation support. We are looking for a law student with initiative, creativity, enthusiasm and a willingness to jump in and learn, ask questions, and strive to provide substantive legal and compliance analysis and advice to our domestic and international business. Additionally, the selected intern will be asked to participate in various intern activities, which may include workshops with leaders in the organization, among other activities.
Insight into legal work done by in-house legal professionals
Practical legal research and writing skills, including application of law in real settings
Managing multiple projects and delivering on competing priorities for a variety of different work/management styles
Presenting/persuading in a real business setting
Applicants are limited to second year law students (2L)
Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university during program calendar year 2019/2020
Completed at least 2 years of college/university to be eligible for the program.
Must have a ≥3.0 GPA
Minimum availability of 12 weeks (Required start on or before June 1 and end prior to Sept 15 2019).
Previous experience in the job duties listed, either through course work or industry/academia
Participation in student organizations and/or other leadership experience
