During this full-time internship program, we expect our interns will work an average of 40 hrs/week at our Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA and be available for the entirety of the 9.5-week program.
About the role:
The Legal/Contracts Intern at TOMS will have primary responsibility for TOMS contracts management system (Contract Works). The intern will work with the Associate General Counsel to consolidate and organize all contracts in Contract Works. Additionally, the intern will gain exposure to day to day legal issues, negotiations and strategies in an in-house corporate legal environment by working with both our General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.
At the end of the 9.5-week program, the intern will have gained a better understanding of the unique challenges that are faced by in-house legal counsel and exposure to legal issues in the fashion/footwear industries.
Here’s what you will do:
Consolidate all contracts from multiple sources and input them into TOMS Contract Management System
Create abstracts of certain key contracts (e.g. retail leases)
Create and implement a system tracking and notifying stakeholders about expiring contracts
Work with General Counsel and Associate General Counsel on day to day legal matters

Skills that you’ll need:
Intern should have an interest in attending law school or be enrolled in law school.
MS Office with a proficiency with MS Word
