The primary responsibility of the Sr Compliance Counsel role will be to lead the Company’s global compliance investigation program, while acting as the senior lawyer for the LVS’ Global Ethics and Investigations Group reporting to the Global Chief Compliance Officer. The incumbent will directly manage investigations in the U.S. and high-risk investigations outside the U.S., providing investigations oversight for non- U.S. investigations, management of the reporting hotline and investigation triage, and reporting on investigation data and trends. The Senior Counsel will also work with the Ethics Counsel in administering the Global Ethics Program and may be assigned other special projects as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform such corporate compliance responsibilities as are assigned from time to time by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Play key role in monitoring of corporate compliance with applicable laws through monitoring, audits, reviews, training, and other means.
Demonstrate experience and leadership in one or more substantive legal areas, such as FCPA, OFAC, or AML.
Provide legal review and analysis of various compliance processes, including due diligence, reporting requirements and T&E approvals.
Lead AML investigations and independently administer the AML reporting process.
Draft compliance policies and processes.
Develop and deliver training in key areas of compliance oversight.
Provide supervision of other compliance professionals within the Compliance Department.
Assist in internal investigations of violations of the code of conduct, internal policies, and laws. Lead smaller investigative matters.
Lead discrete projects as assigned.
Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Juris Doctorate, required
Must hold a Nevada law license or be eligible for a Nevada in-house license.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board Registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
Five plus years of experience conducting financial/white collar investigations as in-house counsel or in a law firm required
5+ years of experience in a relevant compliance area
Anti-money Laundering (AML) law, Anti-bribery and corruption, and/or compliance experience is required
Strong familiarity with AML and Anti-Corruption laws
Prior experience as a prosecutor, regulatory, or enforcement attorney is helpful
Demonstrated ability to work independently but collaboratively with other attorneys and internal business partners across multiple business lines
Demonstrate ability to work with a team and coordinate work and legal matters with a team.
Superior analytical and writing skills
Ability to travel, as needed
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
