What You’ll Do
  • Work directly with Uber’s Safety Team and global, regional, and local policy, communications, and marketing teams to build effective partnerships and ensure clarity and accuracy in public communications
  • Advise on safety-related research initiatives and policy leadership projects, including research and exchange of data with external organizations, universities, and research bodies
  • Evaluate and ensure substantiation of marketing claims related to safety
  • Coordinate legal advice across diverse disciplines and geographies, and seek to harmonize and improve inconsistencies
  • Serve as the primary legal point of contact for centralized safety communications, policy, research, and marketing functions
  • Coordinate with external experts in the development to Uber’s safety programs
  • Develop high-impact awareness, training, and playbooks for internal clients to scale impact of critical legal advice

What You’ll Need
  • 7+ years of experience in private practice, government service, and/or in-house role
  • Law degree from an accredited institution and active membership in good standing in at least one state bar
  • Experience advising companies that have a global footprint
  • Experience with marketing, litigation, transactions, and product liability a bonus
  • Superior analytical and legal skills, mature judgment, and innovative thinking
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and influence, persuade, and build consensus
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and growing into new areas of responsibility, with self-starter qualities
  • Unquestioned integrity and ethics in business and personal conduct
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally
