Brief Description of Job: The Family Separation CLINIC Fellowship Attorney is responsible for developing, maintaining, and representing a significant caseload with the support of the Family Separation Paralegal. The fellowship term is one year.
Minimum Qualifications: Completion of recognized Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited Law School. Licensed to practice law in at least one state. Participation in a law school clinic representing clients on immigration law matters is preferable. Two or more years of experience representing clients in immigration law matters and, ideally, in removal proceedings. Proficiency completing USCIS and EOIR forms. Experience working with vulnerable populations including children Experience with non-profit culture. Must be experienced in Microsoft Office. Must have a valid Florida driver’s license. Two-year experience in law firm or non-profit preferred. Experience working with vulnerable population including children. Proficiency using immigration forms software, typing and data entry required. Traveling required.
