Internship – Summer Associate Legal Internship

  • Paid Internship – Summer Associate Legal Internship
  • Details of the Internship:
  • Dates: 10 week program June 3rd - August 9th
  • Location: Jacksonville, FL
  • Working Hours: 8:00am - 4:15pm (37.5 Hours)
  • Pay: $16.00 per hr plus pay for MSA's July 4th holiday (This year includes July 4th and 5th)
  • Openings: 1
  • Due to the potential of this position leading to full-time employment, at this time we are not accepting applicants that require F1 student or H1B sponsorship.

Job Requirements
Skills learned during the internship:
  • Will support product launches, contract review and negotiations, and provide litigation support to associate general counsel.
  • Review statutes and regulations to support business objectives.
  • Review and provide legal/business comments on contracts, research various state legal issues and provide recommendations to manager.
  • Provide litigation support to Corporate Counsel and General Counsel.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Current, or soon to be, graduate of an accredited law school.
  • Please indicate your expected graduation date on your application, e.g., May 2019, December 2019, (these are the preferred dates)
  • Top 15% of your class (preferred)
  • Requires standard legal skills; research, logic, knowledge of basic legal principles.
  • Ability to blend legal skills and business needs to provide recommendations and business considerations.
  • Knowledge of technology and legal research required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operations and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Some knowledge of working in a business office environment preferred.
